The Board of Directors of the Southern California Chapter of Sister Cities will give two scholarship grants, each in the amount of $750.00 to promote student participation in international exchanges, especially through Sister Cities.
1. Eligibility:
A. Applicants must have participated in their local Sister City organization or in another international exchange organization.
B. Applicants must either be high school juniors or seniors, or be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
C. Both high school and college students must be maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or its equivalent. College students must be carrying at least 9 units (credits) to be considered.
2. Application Requirements:
A. Completed application form with a copy of applicant’s unofficial transcripts.
B. A brief summary of the applicant’s Sister City activities or activities in another international exchange organization.
C. A letter of recommendation by a member of your local Sister City organization, excluding any members of applicant’s family, or from another international exchange organization.

F. An interview in person or by phone may be required of the finalists.
3. Selection process:
A. The award’s committee will review the applications and select the finalists.
B. The committee may interview students during the month of January.
4. Announcement of Awards:
Scholarship awards will be announced at the annual So Cal Conference on Saturday, February 27, 2010.
