To become a member of the SOCAL Board of Directors, you must be a member in good standing of a Sister City organization within southern California.
Send a letter of interest about joining the Board to the chair of the SOCAL Nominations Committee, Tom Hersant email@example.com Include a brief summary of your experience with sister cities along with a brief statement of why you wish to join the SOCAL Board.
You should also have a letter of recommendation submitted by the chair or president of your sister city organization sent to the chair of the Nominations Committee. Your request for membership will be brought to the SOCAL Board members for a vote. If accepted, you will be notified and invited to attend the next SOCAL Board meeting.
